1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and sqrly ("we") — a service currently operated by its founder, Florian Mandel, in San Francisco, California. They cover everything we operate at sqrly.ai and assessment.sqrly.ai: the free AI-readiness snapshot, shared report links, and the sqrly Pulse subscription. By running a snapshot, opening a subscription, or using a dashboard we've issued, you accept them.
2. What the service is
sqrly assesses how AI assistants and shopping agents see an online store. The free snapshot is a one-time report. sqrly Pulse is a paid subscription that runs a full scan when you subscribe, light checks weekly and full rescans monthly after that, and gives you a live dashboard plus email alerts when something changes.
3. Your link is your key
There are no accounts or passwords. Reports and dashboards live at private, unguessable links — whoever has the link has access, like a house key. Don't post it publicly or feed it into third-party tools. If a link leaks, contact us and we'll rotate it; you can also recover your dashboard link anytime by email from the dashboard recovery page.
4. What you may ask us to scan
Only request scans of a store you own, operate, or are authorized to represent. Our scanner reads a handful of public pages, respects robots.txt, and never logs into anything. We may decline or stop scans of sites that are parked, deceptive, or unrelated to a real store.
5. What our reports are — and aren't
- Reports combine automated analysis of your public website with live answers from third-party AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity). Those assistants change their answers constantly — by region, session, and day. A report is an honest snapshot of what we observed at scan time, not a promise that any assistant will say the same thing tomorrow.
- Scores, verdicts, and recommendations are automated opinions, produced in part by AI models. They can be incomplete or wrong. When a check couldn't run, the report says so rather than guessing.
- Nothing in a report is legal, financial, or professional advice, and following our recommendations doesn't guarantee visibility, rankings, or sales.
6. Our recommendations are suggestions — vet them before you act
Pulse doesn't just observe; it recommends: prioritized "next moves," step-by-step how-tos, and generated drafts such as an llms.txt file for your store. Every one of these is AI-assisted advice offered for your consideration — not instructions, and never something we apply for you:
- Nothing we produce changes your site. sqrly has no access to your store. You (or your developer) decide what to publish, and anything you deploy — including a file we drafted — is your change, made at your discretion and under your responsibility.
- Review generated files before publishing. A draft like llms.txt is produced by an AI model from your site's public data. Verify it against your actual catalog, policies, and prices before putting it on your domain, and keep it current afterwards — a stale or inaccurate file is worse than none.
- Vet recommendations independently, ideally with someone who knows your store's setup. Advice that's right for most stores can be wrong for yours — custom themes, apps, and existing SEO work all interact.
- Outcomes are not promised. Applying a recommendation may help, may do nothing, or may have effects we can't foresee, and AI assistants change how they read and rank sites without notice. We stand behind the honesty of our findings, not the future behavior of systems we don't control.
7. Billing
sqrly Pulse costs $9.99/month, billed through Stripe — card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers. Cancel anytime from your dashboard's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and your dashboard stays live until then. If we ever change the price, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' email notice first.
8. Refunds
We don't prorate partial months. But we're humans, not a policy wall: if a scan failed, a report was wrong in a way that mattered, or the service just didn't do what we said it would, email us and we'll make it right — usually with a refund.
9. Fair use
Don't abuse the free tier (bulk-generating snapshots, scraping, resale of reports as your own product), don't use the service to harm the stores being assessed, and don't attempt to access reports or dashboards that weren't issued to you. We may suspend service for abuse — with a refund of any unused period if we're the ones ending it.
10. Whose stuff is whose
Your website and its content remain entirely yours. The reports we generate for you are yours to use for your business, including sharing them with your team or advisors. The sqrly name, product, and report design are ours. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product.
11. Liability
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — lost profits, lost sales, decisions made on the basis of a report, or the consequences of changes you apply to your site or business based on our reports, recommendations, or generated files — and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow parts of this; where that's you, this applies to the extent permitted.
12. Changes and ending things
You can stop anytime by cancelling. We can update these terms; if a change is material, subscribers get email notice before it takes effect. If we ever discontinue sqrly Pulse, we'll give notice and refund any unused period.
When sqrly incorporates (that's the plan — Sqrly, Inc.), this agreement and your subscription transfer to the company automatically, on these same terms. Nothing changes for you, and you'll see the new name here when it happens.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If something here is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
