Your twin can mention a current offer when it fits what a shopper is buying — on your storefront and to AI shopping agents. You don't set offers up twice: sqrly reads them straight from Shopify Discounts and keeps them in sync. The twin runs on Shopify today, with more commerce platforms coming soon.
Connect your discounts
On the app's Offers page, click "Connect Shopify discounts". Shopify asks you to allow read access to your discounts — sqrly only reads them, and never creates or changes a discount. Every active discount then shows up on the page on its own, under "From your Shopify discounts".
Which discounts are included
sqrly includes every active discount that's open to all customers, both automatic discounts and discount codes. It skips:
- discounts for specific customers or customer segments — those are private;
- discounts that aren't active, including ones that have ended.
The twin describes each offer in Shopify's own words — for example, "10% off entire order • Minimum purchase of $50" — so what it tells shoppers matches checkout exactly.
Sharing is your call
Each offer shows whether it's "Shared with shoppers" or "Not shared". A discount that's active and open to all customers is one you've already chosen to offer, so it's shared right away. To keep one quiet — a staff or partner code, say — click "Stop sharing". "Share with shoppers" turns it back on, and when several aren't shared, "Share all with shoppers" shares them all at once. Your choice is kept when the discount changes in Shopify.
How offers reach checkout
- Automatic discounts need no code. The twin mentions them when they fit, and Shopify applies them as usual. They're marked "Automatic".
- Discount codes are added to the twin's checkout link when the shopper's cart qualifies, so the shopper doesn't have to type anything.
Shopify always has the final word: it checks at checkout whether the cart qualifies. Each offer shows what it applies to — "For any cart", or "For carts with" certain product types — and its end date, if it has one.
How quickly changes show up
Change, add or end a discount in Shopify and it shows up within about 15 minutes, or right away when you open the Offers page. The page says when sqrly last read your discounts.
Offers added by hand
If you'd rather not connect your discounts, click "Add an offer by hand instead". Create the discount code itself in Shopify under Discounts first, then fill in:
- "Name" and "Shopify discount code";
- "What the shopper gets" — it must match how the discount is set up in Shopify;
- optionally, the product types the cart must include and a minimum order.
Click "Add offer". Hand-added offers can be paused with "Pause" (and turned back on with "Activate"), edited or deleted. "Check my codes" lets sqrly read your discounts to flag any code that's missing or expired in Shopify, so shoppers never get a code that fails at checkout. Once your discounts are connected, a hand-added offer whose code sqrly finds in Shopify is replaced by the Shopify version, keeping whether you shared it.
Offers and AI agents
AI agents that use your store's site tools can ask the twin which offer applies and put a code on the shopper's cart — but only codes you share with shoppers. See AI shopping agents.
